Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónIt was the night before the widespread quarantine began in March 2020. My parents wanted us to enjoy a meal out before heading home, so we set out to find a restaurant. We noticed that some places were already closed, even though it was a Saturday night. We decided to check out Melos to see if they were still open, and luckily, they were. Upon arrival, we found that they were already practicing social distancing, with tables spaced far apart from each other. There was even a partition between our table and the other diners. The staff wore masks and provided hand sanitizer, which made us feel safe. We ordered the baked oyster Rockefeller, steak, and pumpkin soup. I must say, I don’t usually like oysters, but I tried one and found it quite good. The cheese was not overwhelming at all. The pumpkin soup was just the right consistency—not too creamy—and I appreciated the addition of some bits for texture. As for the steak, I can’t recall which cut we chose, but it was just okay for me. I enjoyed the next dish, the kartoffeln (potatoes), even more.
I recommend trying the certified Angus prime salpicao with aglio olio or the Angus rice from Melo. Since I ordered it for delivery, I enjoyed the tender and juicy salpicao over three separate meals. The rice was substantial enough to be a satisfying dish on its own!
