Such a COOL place to hang out and catch some great bands. LOVE the decor and the endless music quotes. Great local venue!

This is one of the best places in Raleigh for live music. They support a wide variety of performers, and rarely fall into the trap of the 'tribute ' bands, which has been a cancer on the local scene for a long time. Great place to play, great place to watch music. Great staff, too!

Deep South is a cool pregame spot for RedHat shows as it seems to be the closest bar to the venue. We hit this place up before every show. The bartenders are great and there are always drink specials. It's sort of a dive but still a cool place to hang out and listen to live music.

I visited for Halloween and had a fantastic time. There were a couple of tribute bands playing 90s hits, and nearly everyone was in costume. The music was excellent, the crowd was diverse, and the drinks were plentiful. The walls are painted red and decorated with snippets of lyrics from classic songs. The venue features a pool table, cozy booths, and plenty of space to move around. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the two unisex bathrooms were, though the wait did get longer as the night progressed. Overall, Deep South is a charming dive bar that's perfect for enjoying live music and a drink. I will definitely return!

Always a great experience! The acoustics are impressive for such a small venue. The drinks are enjoyable, and the restrooms are much cleaner compared to other similar establishments.
