This coffee shop is without a doubt one of my favorites! The honey latte is amazing and today I treated myself to a very berry muffin and I am so happy I did! I will definitely be ordering that again!
This charming little coffee shop also offers a selection of items from independent artists. Their kitchen is gluten-free for their baked goods, and they have a wide variety to choose from. I tried the biscuits, which were four small biscuits filled with herbs and topped with cheese. I also sampled the almond butter cookie. I ordered the freshly squeezed orange juice, which was more like an orange-ade than juice. It was still delicious, but I was expecting more juice. I would definitely go back again.
I recently visited this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised to find that more than half of the pastries in the display case were vegan. The ingredients for each pastry were clearly listed, and it appears that the selection changes often as they are written in removable marker on the glass. My companions and I particularly enjoyed the blueberry and chocolate chip muffins, with the chocolate chunks being a standout feature. Additionally, I had the opportunity to try cascara tea for the first time and found it to be delicious.
The staff was friendly and the location is convenient, although parking may be difficult to find during busy times. The restaurant is located in an old mill building, which has been creatively repurposed with office space and various activities available. There are shops, a comedy theater, and a bar within the building, as well as a coffee shop offering locally made artisan goods like jewelry and pottery. The atmosphere is cozy with dimly lit seating areas perfect for conversation or work. I tried a chai latte with oat milk, which was okay but a bit watery. While I personally wouldn't return for the drink alone, I appreciate the overall vibe of the place. I haven't tried the pastries or coffee, but I do prefer another vegan cafe in Raleigh. However, if you're in the area and not specifically looking for vegan options, this cafe offers a cozy and inviting space to hang out or work.
