A Good friend has been telling me about this wonderful winery so I decided to join my garden club for a tour! Terri was very informative and I learned a lot about sustainable wine growing. She gave us a great tour! We finished up with a wine tasting ?
Love this place, from the view to the array of samples to the professional sommelier to the live music. It’s all there, and they offer more than adequate samples so you can decide on the wine that’s right for you. Need more? Buy a glass! Even better, buy a case as we did. You can have it shipped to your home. We can’t wait to go back for the live music, wine and people!
I have been to Ramona Ranch a number of times now and I can’t say enough about the place. I live in Virginia but used to live in California so I like to go back as often as I can. I discovered Ramona Ranch years ago and have enjoyed watching Micole and Teri grow their business and succeed on such a huge scale. On my last visit (early May) I visited the winery with my bf, son and his gf and we had a wonderful time. We tasted all the wines and were so impressed. We ordered a case of half Super Tuscan and half Multipulchiano. A few days after we returned home, our case was delivered. Amazing! We have twelve delicious bottles of wine to share with family and friends. Everyone is blown away with their wine. I can’t say enough about how amazing Teri and Mike are and how warm and welcoming they and their staff are and how much I love them, their warm welcoming winery and their amazing wine!
Lovely view greets one as entering. Beautiful tasting facility with main room that has high ceiling, outdoor patio with tables. Our server was quite knowledgeable and very professional. Tasting costs $2.50 per wine ?. Ok with this format except she poured just one ounce. That's not enough to really judge a wine's character. My favorite wine was the Super Tuscan blend, which exhibited blackberry notes with a nice spicy finish. Still, very expensive for the Ramona AVA. The Montepulciano is worth trying. Wine is serious business, but atmosphere is set up to entertain people. No music for atmosphere.
