Root Of Happiness Kava Rancho Cordova

Loved this place. I did not know of Kava at all before seeing it on google maps while searching for bar. I thought of goibg and try it. The whole atmosphere of the place ia very friendly and you wont feel awkward being a total blank about kava. Staff is very friendly, the girl at the counter helped me choose a drink and told me all about it. There are games, books to read and also a outdoor patio area. This is a place where you should go to spend some time. The drink is so soothing you wont feel like leaving for a while and the place is cozy afterall. I read some books and just sat there enjoyed the drink. As per the kava itself, it is little bitter in taste and you should drink it in one go to feel the effect, thats what the lady there told me. The only and only thing I feel negative is that in my mango flavored drink I did not feel any flavor at all. It was bitter and with no flavor of mango. Maybe the kava is so bitter that you dont feel it or the flavor was little less, dont know. Explore this place, its fun. One more thing I would recommend is that if you want food you can take some with yourself as they do not offer anything to eat. Some people were eating boxed food and I asked the lady on bar if its okay to bring and she said yes.

Tried Kava for the first time on my birthday and safe to say it was a great experience! We ordered through DoorDash and unfortunately, a majority of the items we wanted were sold out. PS: They don 't sell smoothies through DoorDash (SAD) We ordered: 1. Cloudbreaker 2. Mango Kava Shot 3. Mango Vanilla Dream 4. Kona Sunset We received: (2x) Cloudbreaker Even though we did not receive the items we wanted, the people at Root of Happiness still gave us a free Cloudbreaker. (It was nice that we still had two drinks to split). TASTE: The taste of Kava is truly something that is acquired. The Cloudbreaker is rich and rooted with flavor. I would put the taste somewhere along the lines of alcohol mixed with really sour, bitter medicine. TAKE CAUTION. I was new to this experience, but I 've always heard of stories of it making your lips go numb. This is TRUE. My lips started to have that tingling feeling like pins and needles. Be warned, the taste does linger so be prepared to have some fruit or juice to mix it with. EFFECTS: After about 15 20 minutes, I could really feel the effects kicking in. My body started to feel relaxed and I could feel a smirk coming on. Root of Happiness boy did I feel happy. I would compare the effects to CBD. Slightly relaxed, overall chill experience. A great experience for my first time trying Kava! Would highly recommend and I can 't wait to visit this Kava Bar in person.

I used to come here every single night w my mom, we loved it. However, I went back recently and the employees were so rude about IDing me and were completely hostile. Wouldn't recommend going to this location to anyone! Sorry to say!

I’ve been coming here almost daily for the last year or so and the kava used to always be a really good ending of a long day. The kava was good and strong and employees were great. All it took was 1 cloud and I was in the “clouds”. I now pay $11 for a single cup that isn’t even filled past half and looks way more diluted than it ever did. I drink the cup and feel as if I had a glass of water. Absolutely nothing, I bought another cup and somewhat felt it, bought a third just to have a noticeable effect. $33 for 3 cups that barely do anything is ridiculous and really do hate seeing businesses trying to milk their products for as much profit as possible.

I’m so glad I decided to go here one night with a friend. I did not know what kava was. The owner/manager was really nice, you can tell he really wants his customers to be satisfied with the purchases. Just a precaution tea on tap can taste differently than what you might expect. They do not taste sweet or super delicious but they help you relieve. And do not drink alcohol or get drunk before kava lol. I ordered the mint hot chocolate, the owner made it sweeter than he usually does and I love it. My friend got a bali tea which tasted sour, but she said it did help her with stress, muscle relief.
