Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónBJ's cousin. You like BJ Pizza? You like Selma's. Great pizza and friendly service.
Selma's has been around since 2003, and one of its founders, Mike Phillips Jr., is the son of one of the creators of BJ's, Mike Phillips Sr. This place definitely has a BJ's feel to it.
The pizza is incredible! Make sure not to eat anything beforehand, as you won't want to miss out on it. The Buffalo wing pizza was simply amazing. I ordered a medium size, which has 6 slices—I could easily finish 3 of them! For reference, the small has 4 slices while the large has 8. The ambiance is lovely, featuring charming brick walls, and the service was outstanding.
I had gluten-free pizza here, and it was quite good! However, the gluten-free options on the menu are rather limited. Unfortunately, when I ordered a salad without gluten, the server brought it out with crumbs on it. I explained that I have Celiac disease, but it was still a concern. Additionally, the service tends to be very slow; we waited an hour for our pizza. They do have a play area for kids, but it requires a lot of quarters to use. My best advice would be to order take-out to get your pizza faster.
The Chicago Court is excellent! I always make it a point to stop by when I’m in town. I ordered a Pilsner beer, and the server in the dining room seemed unsure of what was available, checking the beer menu for options. However, he did speak with the bartender and came back with three complimentary samples, one of which perfectly matched my request. My advice? Sit in the bar area to enjoy their impressive beer selection along with their amazing pizza! And by the way, the food is fantastic too!
