Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónAs celiac I check in the rule my decisions, plan my asking and have a back-up plan with a boring alternative. in less than 10 seconds I saw the appetizer “gluten free calamari”, I was quite excited. When I scanned the escaped "gluten free ling...cod and fries" I almost fell from my seat! Not even in 35 years I have in the position to order a fish and chip from a menu. (I have created my own replay, but cook for me instead of "do not compare on waiting". this was the only place that was open on Wednesday night in the oktober, so we chose this place by default. omg! a goldmine for gluten-free! holy cow! eating was excellent! even gf tiramisu for the desert! I looked like a dental child at halloween who was not allowed to sweeten. so impressed! cannot wait to try something else next time. happy and full!
Terrible service from the host (the older woman,) who gave our reserved table to some walks, although we arrived five minutes before the time. to justify it, she said: when people arrive, I want to sit them where they want....and I don't know if people who have reservations are coming. what is with seating places that make a table reservation? or, with a window for reservation owners (most restaurants allow a 15-minute grace period) we again here 5 minutes earlier than we were in the resort. the next night we decided to pick up some delicious delicacies from the friendly folks farm gate store and eat on the balcony.
Waited an hour and a half before we found out that they did not submit our order. service is brutal, food average. avoid this location if possible.
We ate here most days during our last trip to mayne island. I really guess they're a vegan burger. with vegan cheese and vegan mayo topped! I am not a fan of the beyond meatburger, prefer a traditional veggie burger, not one that tastes like meat, but at least they had this option for me. my flesh-eating husband liked a lot of food. we had no complaints at all. the staff was nice, eating every day was great and didn't take long to reach us. the restaurant is very busy, so either eat early or make sure they have a reservation. we will eat there on our next trip to mayne island.
My wife and I booked a beachfront cottage at the Mayne Island Resort for the weekend to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. I had called ahead to the Bennet Bay Bistro, which is attached to the resort and asked for a window table for our...Saturday evening dinner, which was our anniversary day. We had also confirmed the request on Friday evening when we were in for dinner. Upon arrival, all of the window tables were taken and we we ended up sitting in a corner. The resort location is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and the restaurant food was great, but the staff's attention to detail leaves lot to be desired. Generally, I get e sense that they cater to the the local Mayne Island crowd and regulars at the fractional ownership resort.
