Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis was our last night in France before heading home.Saw this restaurant on trip advisor and not far from our French home. Been meaning to try it all holiday and finally went on our last night. Greeted by a very friendly lady, I'm guessing she was the proprietor. Although we speak enough French to get by in restaurants she spoke very good English should other people struggle. The food was plentiful and delicious. The menu had lots to chose from. We had the green menu which was 31 euros for 3 courses and also came with some pate and French toast to nibble on while you were choosing. You can also choose from the chefs specials (Portuguese) as part of this menu. Dessert was just as delicious too. Will definitely be back many times!
On a very hot and sunny day we sat outdoors and were treated to an excellent lunch time experience. A decent selection of both French and Portuguese dishes, good portion sizes of well presented, well cooked, uncomplicated food. A perfectly acceptable selection of wines at very reasonable prices was available.Service was friendly and evenly pacedThe car park is adjacent to the restaurant so access is no problem at all. This little restaurant is such good value for money, we'll return whenever we're in the area.
On the 27th day of the monthly market packed. Good wholesome food and an excellent take away.Non market days the food is very good a mixture of French and Portuguese. Charming people.
This a delightful restaurant with a great ambiance. The staff are very polite and friendly. The hostess is lovely with a good sense of humour. The menu is varied, well cooked and delicious and accompanied by local wines and cheeses. Various menus at different prices. Somewhere to go for lunch or that special occasion dinner.
I am reluctant to do this review, as some special places need to stay quietly superb. However, this place deserves the acknowledgement. I found it via trip advisor when looking for a place to meet with relatives that was equidistant from where we were in France. (What did we do before TA?) None of us knew the town, never mind the restaurant. It is right in the middle of a lovely small market town (we now know it has a wonderful market on the 27th of every month). It is typically French, and we were the only non-French diners that lunchtime. It is a fixed daily menu with minimal choice, but my pescatarian friend was readily catered for off menu. The food was fresh and delicious. Both my cousin and I are decent cooks and we were both hugely impressed with the meal. There is outside eating on offer, and the inside restaurant is spacious and not at all cramped. There is a car park too, which is rare for town centre restaurants. I recommend that you book as the place was full, we booked about 5 days before and we were glad that we had done so. We are meeting up there again very soon and I can't wait to revisit. The menu will be different and that is part of the anticipation.
