Lyon Rum Windon Distilling Company

My first try of Lyon rum I didn 't care for it, and I told them so. They were so gracious and offered refund, which I did not accept. I also admitted to being new to real rum, having stuck to the mass marketed spice variety, and maybe needed to get a taste for it. After some suggestions and experimenting: I LOVE it! Use it for old fashioned in lieu of bourbon, or mix with a mild 80 proof bourbon like Rebel in an old fashioned. My personal creation: Lyon dark rum, wild cherry brandy, and ginger beer. Garnish with cocktail cherry. This is very good!

One of the most impressive aspects of Lyon is how knowledgeable and passionate the employees are about the rum. Love the aesthetic and overall atmosphere, the rums are so good. Can’t wait to come back and bring some peeps

Never again. We wanter to love it and the place is amazing but all the rums and gin were just unpalatable... the flavored rum tastes like cheap liquor that burned with over sweet syrup that didnt blend at all. :

Amazing rum, lovely little shop. Can't wait for the tasting room....and later hours, 4 or 5 pm is too early to drink!
