We received a warm welcome on a very popular 'lovers ' night '. The mood is warm and hospitable...a rare find in today 's over population of over priced restaurants. Going with a simple choice of 200g Rump with mash, and a selection of Dijon Mustard and Chives sauce...I was so pleasantly satisfied. A steak so well balanced with a deep char grilled flavour and enhanced with the uplifting flavours of the selected sauce...coupled with Beyerskloof Pinotage...absolutely to die for. My great company selected the oxtail dish which I had the pleasure of sampling and I was equally pleasantly satisfied by the gorgeous flavours and richness of the dish. And then the cherry on top a delicious cherry chocolate to end it all. Delicate dark chocolate with a liquid filled centre and a blushing cherry in the middle. Thank you Chaplin 's...for the out of this world experience.
My family had dinner tonight at Chaplins and it was awesome. I am vegan ... Our waiter, Kenneth, and the kitchen staff made sure that I did not just have a plate of chips I had pap and tomato gravy with sautéed mushrooms and an avo salad. Everyone was happy. Thank you.
We had an excellent dinner there last night on a very special family occasion. The food was absolutely delectable and service superb. I can highly recommend it to anyone.
No matter how many times we visit Chaplains be it the two of us or with friends and family, Chaplains never disappoints. Outstanding service, warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly waiters, great food etc What more could one ask for...
Great warm heartfelt welcome by everybody. The food is delicious. The sirlion was top class. Do yourself a favour and go try it out. Excellent.
