Hyatt Regency Sarasota

We stayed for two nights. The first 24 hours, only one of the three elevators were working. The second 24 hours, only two of the three elevators were working. Thankfully our room was on the 3rd floor, so we took the stairs, as the line for the elevator was not pretty.Since we took the stairs, we saw food in the stairwell for our entire stay (photos attached). We kept thinking that at some point someone from the hotel would clean up this mess.The pool bar was woefully understaffed.The one afternoon we went to the pool, they were out of pool towels. We alerted an employee who was able to get towels restocked in about 10 minutes.In general, the hotel staff was pleasant and helpful.The hotel location is good, as you can walk to the restaurants and shops in downtown Sarasota, and it’s a short drive to Lido Beach.

The only reason why I'm giving this 4 stars is because when we attended it must have been a soccer week for kids. There were kids everywhere playing soccer in the hallways and the parents weren't doing anything about it, at 10pm. I have kids so I don't care about that it's the principle. Other than that, room was clean, pool was nice (crowded). Good and drinks very over priced.

This hotel is fantastic with many amenities. The parking options are convenient, with both self parking and valet available. The check-in process is quick and easy, and they offer express check out for those who prefer it. The rooms are all lovely, with or without a balcony, and boast amazing views. We were fortunate enough to stay in rooms on different sides, each offering a different but equally enjoyable view. The even-numbered rooms provide a city and partial water view, while the odd-numbered rooms offer a channel view with a glimpse of the gulf. Depending on your preference for relaxation and people-watching, the photos and descriptions can help you choose the perfect room. The pool area is pleasant, with plenty of chairs and some tables, some of which have umbrellas. The poolside hut is a nice touch, and while I didn't personally try it, I heard great things about the Mediterranean pizza. I enjoyed the Hummus and veggies, which were fresh and delicious. My friend loved the chicken queso with fries. The drinks were good, and the bartenders were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the limited number of towels initially provided, requiring us to request more, as well as having to ask for additional tissue.

We spent 3 nights in June 2023 and had a good experience, mostly because if the staff. The front desk ladies were amazing! They were so friendly and helpful.I loved the location, the rooms, and the balcony.Two things we did not like were the uncomfortable mattresses (spring mattresses . They were stiff and made us feel sore in the morning.The second thing that bothered us was the first night, there were some drunk guests in our floor playing music so loud and talking in the hallway. There was also an incident of other guests throwing stuff off the balcony, kncluding a table! It waa hard for me to go back to sleep, but the hotel security took cafe of the issues immediately. This is definitely not a complaint against the hotel.Overall, we had a nice stay. Just change the mattresses :

We shared two of the busiest days of the year, and loved every second we were here! We stayed July 3rd and 4th for my birthday mini vacation in Sarasota. I was impressed with the room, the view, the food, the staff and the cleanliness... We shared a lot of time at the pool mainly, and had cocktails and lunch in the pool area. After having meals in the dining room, we relaxed in our room and enjoyed the view of Sarasota Bay from the balcony. I felt so welcome and comfortable, I could have stayed the whole month... I'm normally hard to please, but I was truly impressed. I'm Bruno of Venice.Rooms: Our room was very clean comfortable with a great view and no noise from adjoining rooms, which was a real plus...Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants, shopping, boating, and of course the Fourth of July fireworks just across the street.Walkability: The whole downtown was just a matter of footsteps away. The location is perfect most anything you could dream of was only a mile away...Food drinks: Some of the foods rated the best in our area as I have worked with Three world-renowned chefs and we were content with the quality of all the meals we had...
