Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe had heard that the Angel Inn had reopened under new management and received a makeover, now offering delicious food. Excited to see the changes, we visited on a Thursday afternoon on January 25th, 2024. The pub was clean, cozy, and welcoming, with a relaxed atmosphere. We quickly connected with Louise, the manager, who was enthusiastic about running a great pub. The menu, though currently limited, is set to expand, including Sunday lunches. The chef, with experience in both the army and restaurants, is focused on serving homemade dishes. Impressed, we booked for Sunday lunch on January 28th. The meal, featuring beef, pork, or chicken options, exceeded our expectations. Accompanied by Yorkshire pudding, mashed and roast potatoes, a variety of vegetables, and homemade gravy, everything was delicious. Dessert, including treacle sponge with custard, jam sponge, apple crumble, or cheesecake, was equally satisfying. The reasonable prices made it all worth it, and we look forward to returning to explore their midweek and drink specials.
This restaurant used to be lively and bustling, but now it is in a state of disrepair. The decor is dirty, the furniture is broken, and the bar is basic. The exterior of the restaurant is also very dirty. The entire place is in need of a deep clean, from the inside out.
We enjoyed two roast beef dinners, excellent value for money, beautifully cooked, and generous portions.
Great local pub. Improved a lot since changing over management. Clean, tasty home cooked meals, and a good choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
The restaurant consistently serves great food with friendly service. It is completely gluten-free friendly and offers a good selection of beers and gins. Overall, it is a nice place to eat.
