Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI decided to try something new, so I booked a bread making course with Hobbs House Bakery in Chipping Sodbury with a friend. I didn't know what to expect, but I kept an open mind and was excited to learn how to make bread. It turned out to be a fantastic day. We were welcomed with freshly baked pastries and learned interesting facts about flour. We mixed flour, water, and other ingredients to make bread, and had a fun and informative day. In addition to the baking, we also made our own pittas and pizzas for lunch, which we enjoyed with wine and other beverages. They even surprised my friend with a birthday cake and candle. It was an amazing day. Thank you Jon.
The sausage rolls had pink, under-seasoned meat inside. I couldn't eat them. Limited options for toasties.
This morning, I visited Hobbs House Bakery and purchased some bacon sandwiches. Unfortunately, my order was incorrect, so I went back inside to have it fixed. I was assisted by an older woman wearing glasses and a Hollister T-shirt who seemed unable to make eye contact with me. She did not apologize for the mistake, did not offer for me to wait inside while she corrected the order, instead sending me back outside to queue up again. The bakery's products are generally excellent, but the quality of the bacon is lacking, as shown in the picture below. The rest of the staff were friendly and pleasant, but this particular woman could benefit from improving her customer service skills.
Birthday party cake, pre ordered. Was collecting by a friend and I am relieved I looked at it before. We had just enough time to make our own. Chocolate raspberry brownie cheesecake! Unapologetically the ugliest cake I have ever had. What we ordered, what we got (never got better what way up) what we did with it (bin it) my 14 yr old made her own cake. Staff were not friendly when ask why it was so bad… So there you have it!
Hi There I'm new to Hobbs and I happened to be craving a pasty on this rainy day to warm my soul and through the corner of my eye I spotted your bakery. I had to investigate as my belly commanded. And oh my the taste combined with the presentation of said pasty left me feeling humbled and emotional but in the best way. I thought In my 38 years of pasty eating I had seen and consumed the best. I now realise this was not the case. I never thought a pasty could impress me enough to send an email of thanks but my taste buds drove me to do so. The lady that served me was lovely and I aim to purchase many more pastys from her and a new wardrobe as I grow : thank u very much x Chipping sodbury bakery today : Big Carl x
