Broughton is a tiny village of 500-plus souls. So it 's no surprise there 'd only be one bakery. Fortunately, it opens at 8:30 (except Sundays). Before I move on, this advisory: Ignore the online menu. It belonged to the bakery that was formerly here. There are no full breakfasts, but there are loads of baked treats and hot drinks. However, if you fancy quiche for breakfast (and I do), there 's 2-3 quiches. I recommend the Quiche Lorraine. Most locals will order takeout, but there 's a seating area (it costs extra if you 're eating in). Nevertheless, the staff is friendly, and with good company, you can savor your hot drink pastries.
We stopped here for a quick bite on a cycle ride in the lakes. Another gem of a find. The sandwiches were made fresh to order. Follow that with good coffee and cake, what more could you want? A really lovely place. Defo worth a visit. Thank you.
A great selection of lovely cakes pastries and pies, all deviously and we highly recommend. Also all very reasonably priced
The best cheese scones I have had in years. Sausage rolls, teacakes, cheese scrolls, bread ... all delicious
