Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónAs always, absolutely fantastic visit. personal incredibly friendly, helpful and chatting. had the pleasure of watching and interacting with the chefs. we would have taken us away hopelessly, without stopping, and as long as they don't want to sit on a bar, it doesn't seem to be a problem. as a couple this works really nice, and the atmosphere is busy enough to keep a degree of privacy to their entertainment. it is a busy place of borough market, so it is reasonable to expect that the interieur sniffs and lively! regarding the food, I have never left here, but this time there is a new thing on the menu a stunning crab risotto, said the chef that he put it on a few days before our visit, but I sincerely hope that there was a long-term best. it is not the cheapest, but then, strange for an island, seafood is always a premium price, the quality here is not the same and I felt that the whole experience was easily worth the price. I look forward to a return visit and hope that the risotto will stay on the menu until I can get back!
Having been here many many times last night was a huge disappointment. Menu has changed which is fine I get that for me was really looking forward to dressed crab but no longer on the menu. Feels like it’s changed hands just not as good...as previous visits. They forgot our sides too had to ask for them meal was almost finished when they arrived. Not sure if I would return now which makes me sad as was most certainly one of my favourite restaurants. Was nowhere near as busy as it usually is so a sign somethings changed
So two days for dinner Wrights and Rick Steins Barnes. The latter great table and long hour supper. House champagne on arrival bar snacks salt cod, sourdough tapas plus a dozen oysters two courses with good rose and coffee. Great staff from front...end to bar and serving team. pounds well worth it. Last Wrights…absolute carnage; grumpy reception; attitude staff totally unhelpful; no space and moaned at to crush further to ram another unhappy group of into our end of table muttering need to make money. A bread basket and a bowl of whitebait to share and oysters. Signature main course fish pie has to be a winner right? Utter **** warm potatoes with one small piece of salmon in it. Too bored to write about the rest bar they charged quid for the pleasure. Stupid pricing. Just don’t bother and head to Rick Steins as you will just love it!
Great spot to give yourself a treat for lunch. Got wonderful menu advice from Anthony, who also opened the oysters for me and insisted on giving me rich chocolate truffles for dessert. Great for solo dining at the counter
Wonderful meal and great service. Had a great education on Oyster's from Imirt, whilst he was preparing some wonderful seafood platters. Will be back soon.
