Now this place is available for local food sources in the highest quality. Your products come from the Atkinson farms in spring, fresh seafood comes from Woodlands Seafood and the Blu Jam Sausage comes from Fishers Meat Market. The coffee is also produced locally. Kings The World Cafe explains that they are a Southern Style breakfast, brunch and lunch café with a Cajun fan, with recipes from generation to generation passed on! Serving dishes such as Shrimp Grits, Chicken Waffles, Cajun Jambalaya Pasta! We even offer an extensive keto friendly menu... Outdoor seating is equipped with a covered terrace and a BYOB charging. They were open for a while, but I never stopped eating. The previous post reviews were very positive, with some sporadic complaints. The restaurant is very relaxing and the waiter Mike, was very nice, and looked after all his tables. It was a late breakfast on Friday 13th, 2022. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. You have a large menu with breakfast selection of fruit cups, oat flakes, Bran Müsli with fruit toppings, avocado toast with toppings, breakfast sandwiches, Chicken N waffles, loaded hash brown, custom Omelettes, waffles, French toast, pancakes, six different types of eggs Benedict, Biscuits and Gravy, traditional I ordered the Southern Breakfast consisting of two eggs, dikes, Kings Blu Jam special sausage and a cookie. Coffee is good and served in a large coffee cup. After my first cup of coffee, I waited for my food. Mike, on Cue, came over and refilled my coffee. I looked around and could easily say that only three orders were from the lobby. Who knows how many orders from Ubereats, Doordash, etc. were in the kitchen. It took seventeen minutes to get my breakfast. Now this is a cozy restaurant, but even cracker barrels or broke Yolk Cafe are faster than that. Again, what happened in the kitchen, I have no idea. Once my food was served, I slept the LARGE cookies, but it wasn't warm enough to melt the butter. The grottos (a very large cup filled over the edges) were only warm enough to hardly melt two pads of butter. The two fried eggs were overcooked at the edges so that the far outside was hard to cut and chew. The Blu Jam sausage taste was GREAT, but the sausage was hard. The cookies were very good and could almost be a dessert. With the Kings Blu Jam homemade strawberry jam served, the cookies were the hit of breakfast. Grits were good for the parts that had some melted butter on them. This is a mixed assessment for me. The sausage taste was wonderful, the cookies were worth a return journey on their own. I will give the kitchen a break to be slow, not knowing which commands might support. This is not my cup of tea, spending $18 before tip for a lower average meal. I tipped Mike well for his great service. You also have a nice lunch menu. I will give Kings Blu Jam Cafe another visit next month and update my review.
The highlights, their biscuits and gravy with beef briquettes, eggs and homemade Hollandaise sauce was one of the best breakfast I've ever eaten. Seriously good and a highlight of the breakfast menu. A bite and I knew I'd come back for more. I would recommend American Fries about the hash browns. Saw the pinned beef and hash coming to the table next to us and it looked amazing. I wish we had more time in Texas, that would be a regular stop. Classic Blues music friendly waiting personal comfortable atmosphere. On the bottom, service was a mess. Was 6 of us. Missed items on every order and the blueberry pancake order of my daughter completely forgotten, took the server several trips to the table to quadruple us. I went back the next day with the woman and we both got the Brisket Biscuits. Service was great.. no problems at all. Maybe it was just a tough day.
First time and it was great! Children and woman loved eating, plus the portions are big. I got the cookies with sausage engraving and it was delicious. We'll try the next time after breakfast.
Pretty good! I tried the crooked cattle **** with chopped eggs. Very salty, but it's etched beef! Unconventional take on the classical court but still done well. I love the bacon too! A very chaotic morning for them. Internet was down, DoorDash had problems. Nevertheless, they did well.
Ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and the crab cake Benedict w red potatoes and so excited!! Blake is amazing, and that's all I'm here to say. His energy was contagious! Super helpful, attentive, and on it! Thanks for everything! Food is also delicious, definitely a go-to spot for any time of day! The wait is worth it. Trust me.
