I tried the "Le French Onion Grilled Cheese" Sandwich, which is basically a French Dip with onions and cheese on a French loaf.If your hungry, this sandwich was a decent size and was quite tasty. The bread was fresh, the caramelized onions were a nice touch, the meat was good quality and the flavour, while not the best I have eaten, was better than most places. The aus jus was nothing special. The roasted potatoes were also tasty, although they could have put a few more on the plate. If I were to eat here again, I would be more adventurous. After all the "Le French Onion Grilled Cheese" is essentially just a Beef Dip with cheese and onions. I would try one of the other sandwiches on the menu, as they seemed to be more ethnic and unique in flavour and certainly more interesting.
A great place for a hearty lunch ... all the soups and sandwiches are excellent. .. have eaten here several times and always enjoyed the food.
Junto's Bistro may not be in the busiest location (Campbell business park), or have the latest hours (closes at 4, not open on weekends), but they make a damn good sandwich.I've had their bourbon pulled pork, cuban, and the banh mi - can't even tell you which I liked more because each was perfect in and of itself. Good serving size and I didn't know food could taste this good! If you have an opportunity for a meal there, do whatever you can to get down there.
Without a doubt, our lunch at Junto's Bistro was one of the best ever. The food is simply outstanding! It is freshly prepared without additives, growth hormones or antibiotics. Hubby had Le French Onion Grilled Cheese sandwich and he declared it to be the best beef dip he has ever tasted. I thoroughly enjoyed my Mighty Margarita Grilled Wich with the chicken. The sandwich portions are very generous and we could only both finish one half of our order. The menu looks so interesting that we plan to return over and over again to try it all. This Bistro is such a delicious welcome to the St. Albert restaurant scene!
Second time here and I must say it was just as good as the first visit if not better. The food is top quality and service is very friendly.( they even set up a table for us outside ) . It may be a bit off mainstream but it is worth the trip .
