Ordered an iced chestnut praline latte. Delicious as always, though I finished it before I remembered to take a photo. The crunchy sugar sprinkles on top are everything. (Do I have a bit of beef with how Starbucks iced macchiatos are made? Yes. Why not mix the bottom syrup into the milk so I can drink the espresso at the top and finish with sweetened milk..? But I digress. Starbucks still beats everywhere else with its lattes and frappuccinos.)Barista was super friendly, and I appreciate that so much. Really puts me in a good mood. So if Starbucks is reading this, thank you. To everyone else, I do recommend this location!Perhaps I’ll upload a photo someday if I ever remember before finishing my drink.
My app was glitching today while I was trying to pay for my drink and a woman in line behind me kept touching me, interjecting and then was just being flat out rude and impatient. The Starbucks associate, Issa, handled it so well. They addressed the women kindly and assertively. Issa’s management of the situation made it so I didn’t have to say a thing, was able to pay for my drink and get on with my day. I never write reviews but I appreciated the way Issa handled it so much that I had to say something. When I got to my car and away from the women who continued to try to interact with me at the bar (ugh) I noticed the flower drawn on my cup. It was such a kind and appreciated gesture. Thank you so much for your kindness today, Issa, the world needs more people like you.
I'm only giving this place a 5 star only because if Barbra. This beautiful lady is amazing. I was sad to see her working by herself when her co-worker kept leaving her by herself. Barbra was kind, and she tried to work that floor alone and she did the best she could. I was disappointed in her co-worker because she held the long line by herself and she deserves all the credit for running her shift. The guy on the other hand, kept leaving her alone and this was really disappointing me because she shouldn't have to work so hard by herself.
This location is always understaffed. I see one employee working feverishly, while a line forms, and getting a drink takes far longer than one might expect. Today, on Friday about 5:15p, there was again one employee working feverishly, while trying to be extremely courteous and engaging. She would ask each customer how they 're doing and if they have any plans for the weekend and so forth. I was the third person in line. When I became the second person in line after waiting 10 minutes, a second employee appeared. By that time, there were three behind me. The person in front of me was helped, and I thought things would move quicker. One employee took the order, while the other made the drinks. I ordered just a straight cup of Pike Place, nothing more. I then had to wait while the employee made three drinks for the people who were behind me in line, as well as the drink for the person behind them. I unfortunately had to complain before my simple coffee drink was quickly made. They really need to pay attention to the order of the customers in line. It just didn 't make sense to serve the people behind me in line first before making my quick cup, which she emphasized when I ordered it that it was freshly brewed! This is the last time I 'll be visiting this location. What a tremendous waste of time.
