Inversnaid Bunkhouse And Topbunk Bistro

Popped in after our disappointment of the Inversnaid Hotel. We are so glad we did. The bistro is set upstairs in an old renovated church. The stain glass windows are an interesting feature. The lunch menu suits all tastes. I opted for the black pudding, chorizo, apple salad. Freshly prepared by the friendly chef. It was superb. Hubby had the burger which he said was really good. The bistro has a licence and all sorts of beers, ciders and wines. Definitely worth visiting for lunch or evening dinner.

I stayed here for one night, and I'd definitely come back again. It's well equipped for anyone who is walking the West Highland Way with lots of little extras such as wi-fi; laundry service; hot tub and you can order a packed lunch for the...next day. You don't have to be a walker, if you're looking for somewhere reasonably priced with good facilities this ticks all the boxes. The bunkhouse is situated in an old church and upstairs in the bistro you can still see the stained glass windows and the old beams. The food was well presented and very tasty. I had the venison burger which came with chips and salad and there was plenty of it no stingy portions here! There was also a good variety of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. The staff were very friendly and made sure that everyone was well looked after.

We visited the bistro twice for dinner and the food was delicious both times. There were various vegetarian options and the portions were large and very tasty...big meals to follow a cold day of going. The bistro is based in an old church...and the decor is lovely, with stained glass windows and lots of fairy lights covering the beams. I would recommend booking in advance.

Staying the road on the Stronachlachar decided to drive to Inversnaid and visit this establishment for a possible dinner later. Arrived at 12:30pm and got out of the car to see a menu etc, immediately greeted by a black haired woman who came over to tell me that "people sleep downstairs" (bare in mind it is 12:30). I said sorry we just wanted to look at one menu for later, she said we don't open until 4 so I said can't I see just one menu quickly please? She said come back and see it. Not sure if I caught her on a bad day but really rude and enough to say we won't be back at 4.

Great place to stay, affordable prices, totally recommended. The room was clean and warm. Also they had very good wifi.
