I have never stayed in a more atmospheric hotel before. The staff here are attentive and very friendly, the rooms are full of character, and I appreciate that they have maintained the original charm of the place. Originally, I only planned to stay for one night, but after exploring the area, I opted to extend my stay for another night. The food is delicious, the scenic surroundings are breathtaking. I highly recommend anyone considering a stay here to go for it - you will not be disappointed!
The drovers inn has always been my favourite place to visit for a bite to eat and a nice scenic drive. But upon my return I saw they have increased the prices dramatically from only being there in the last couple of months. I normally get the fish and chips, and I always appreciate the reasonable priced food. Was £14 now its £18?!!! I bet the staff didn't get a rise like this! Same portion size, same everything. Day light robbery!
Stayed here had few issues, manager Scott went above and beyond to rectify all issues, we back again in summer because location and service was second to none, but need to praise Scott for his professional service and is a credit to this establishment he is the face to the rovers inn! Can't wait to return
On a bitterly cold day, the restaurant failed to provide heating and service was incredibly slow, with a wait of nearly an hour for a simple toastie. Despite the food being tasty, I was not pleased with the overall experience and have no intention of returning.
