Jim's Family - Summerville

My boyfriend and I came in on a Saturday for lunch. They were kind of busy but about half the tables were empty. Our waitress, Leanne, was super sweet! I ordered breakfast and he got hamburger steak and she put our orders in but it was taking forever! It was nearly 40 minutes before ours was ready and all my food was great except the toast, it was too cold to melt whipped butter! The eggs were perfect! I think the cooks need to step it up a little cause the waitresses always take the heat for food taking too long, food not good etc. And their tips suffer because of it. Take care of your servers people, they deserve it!

Chicken thighs went up 60% in one month! Will NOT go again until the gouging stops!

I came in here expecting good home cooking and I could not have been more disappointed. Our whole meal came from the freezer. Our Hash browns were undercooked (I specifically asked for them to be well done). My biscuit was definitely frozen, and HARD AS A ROCK. Even the pancake was weird and gross, possibly also frozen? I paid a $3.50 ATM fee just to eat here because they're cash only and it was definitely not worth it. I'm so sad that the food was so terrible because the place is nice and so is the staff but the food is worse than elementary cafeteria food. Just go to the waffle house, it's WAY better. Vegetarian options: No good options for vegans

The place has lost its reputation as a home town restaurant,prices ridiculous for what you get. Don't have to claim all the cash so no cards. The word in town is it's a money pit and a failure.
