Grotto - Syracuse

Great dinner spot and open on Monday unlike most restaurants. I had a nice dinner here for my daughter's birthday on Monday. I have to start with the service that Mark took care of us and he's ever done. GREAT-Job, Mark, thank you. attentive, knowledgeable and even passionate about the dishes are served. Everything was very good. Some of the best warm and fresh dinners to start bread. Very recommended.

Our dinner experience was very nice. We had no reservations, but they opened up, the staff seemed worried that we wanted a table without one, but still sat. I thought that would be a star, because it was a Monday at 4:00, but the restorer was slowly busier and busier when the time went on. I guess they're sitting with us, even though they knew they were busy. I ordered a dirty martini, but I didn't mention that I wanted gin, not vodka. I felt terrible when she brought me one with vodka and told her I won't be able to drink it, they don't wear gin at the bar I found strange. The waitress was incredibly friendly and apologized and took it out of the bill. The food was very delicious especially the scallops, olives and crab cakes. The lobster ravioli was... disappointing. I felt that the sauce was exaggerated and would fit much better with something hearty like chorizo. We have the Chambord Dessert and it tasted sticky and fake. The upper layer of chocolate was delicious, but the pink layers were pff tasting. Overall it was a great dinner and we loved the restaurant, we will definitely be back.

Excellent food and service! If you are looking for authentic Italian food, you need to check this place and make sure you see Julie for the friendly and excellent service. Every time she served us with a smile! And the Risotto, which is my favorite, was in at least 3 different entrees (Major points!! You don't see that in your average Italian restaurant. But this place is not average. And the atmosphere was great. Music was very low (as I like it). Tablecloths and chairs. Intimate, not like some of the big open places. I stole my whole family and everyone loved their meal! Accept that everyone is not easy to do. We will definitely come back. See my pictures of hot bread with ingenious diving sauce, risotto with scallops, ribs with vegetables and chicken franchise. They won't be disappointed. Compliments to the cook and Julie to make our experience unforgettable.

Absolutely amazing! Mark was fantastic and all the staff! My husband and I have 1 year anniversary and we decided to give a new place an attempt! We definitely found our new place for Date Night! The food was delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. Nancy, the owner is super friendly! Very professional and clean all around, We recommend this restaurant! Our evening was nice thanks?s to grotto?s!

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC family dinner at Grotto! Our family celebrated an important occasion and enjoyed excellent service, DELICIOUS food (the chef's riggies are not to be missed! drinks and dessert.
