I was excited to see they have multiple locations, another is located just up the street from our apartment in downtown St. Pete, we'll definitely be back.
Being from Tampa, born in Ybor City, I’ve been eating Cuban sandwiches for almost 60 years. I would have to say the one from La Segunda, for the money, is just OK. $12 Cuban sandwiches and $6 dollar Cuban coffee is a little exorbitant; Do yourself a favor and go to either West Tampa Sandwich Shop, La Teresita, Arco Iris, or Pipo’s. You’ll save half the money and be able to order some black beans and rice with your sandwich too.
Customers return for delicious food, but no one returns after experiencing poor service. The cashier was extremely rude and needs to be trained in providing pleasant and courteous service to patrons. I do not recommend this restaurant solely based on the unacceptable level of service.
Great atmosphere and food was even better. I had the avacado and egg sandwich with sun-dried tomatoes. Delicious! And my friend demanded I get one of the quesitos; it was perfect!
The food was supposed to be ready at 10:43am, but when we arrived at 10:56am, it was not ready. My wife explained that it was an online order, but the lady said it was not ready. My wife waited until 11:10am, when the lady finally said the food was ready and had been sitting there getting cold for 20 minutes. It was disappointing to see a well-known restaurant like La Segunda have such logistical issues. Paying $27.93 for cold sandwiches was unacceptable. This experience occurred at the Ybor location.
