I am familiar with this area as I grew up here. Jonathan bakes the incredible bread, the eggs are farm fresh and cooked perfectly, the fresh fruit is picked in the morning, the bacon from the local butcher is delicious, and the potatoes are cooked perfectly! The atmosphere is great. I got some huge croissants with ham and cheese for the trip home and they were the best I've ever had. There are plenty of large desserts to choose from. Overall, the food was delicious and the service was friendly. I highly recommend this place!
This restaurant was once located on the side of the highway nearer to the village. While the venue was smaller, it was much more pleasant, and the quality of the food suffers from this gas station location.
Always friendly. Huge sandwiches that require a friend to share with. Best coffee. Local produces featured and enhanced by the Chef. Great soups, curries, and baked goods to die for. I've never been disappointed!!
This little spot is so understated you'll blink and miss it. Attached to the Midway Gas Bar in Telkwa, it's like finding a European cafe in the middle of the bush. Great coffees and home made food, made from the best local ingredients, and pastries to die for! The outside does not reflect what is to be found on the inside, either. It's warm and cozy with wooden furnishings - both private tables and a few long communal sppots as well. Locals love it, but if you're travelling through and don't want the usual fast food fare found along the highway in Smithers, check this spot out - you'll be glad you did.
