Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis morning at 10am, I ordered scrambled eggs on toast and beans on toast with two coffees. Despite being second in line and the restaurant being empty as it had just opened, we waited for almost an hour. There were about five people behind the counter who seemed more focused on looking at the screen and laughing than serving customers. The two ladies next to us waited 35 minutes for a cup of tea and a coffee. Every breakfast that was served to the tables was incorrect and had to be sent back, including my order which arrived as two portions of beans instead of scrambled eggs. It was a disappointing experience and we will not be returning. The old Morrisons café used to be good, but this new one lacks management and proper customer service. It's a shame as the store is lovely, but the café is a complete letdown.
There is not much to recommend about this place. It is a typical British Morrisons supermarket cafe where you serve yourself at the counter with no pleasantries, encounter filthy sticky tables, and have to fetch your own drinks and cutlery. It is the usual overpriced greasy spoon with no decent drink options. The tea and coffee are lukewarm, and you have to wait to pay at the counter with limited soft drinks available from a dispenser. The food is your typical greasy spoon fare served with an attitude. It could learn a thing or two from continental supermarket cafes where you can enjoy decent food, wine, and drinks at a fraction of the price without feeling ripped off.
Morrisons sort it out….. when this first opened it was amazing, me and my family would frequently dine here. Now they close the food kitchen sometimes 1.5 hours early today we ordered 2 carrot cake slices and one black coffee. It took 25 mins to recieve I only had half a cup of cold coffee instead of mistake being a priority I was made to queue up and wait again….
What can you say about this cafe not a lot ordered two tortillas asked for chicken no chicken no beef so went for pulled pork told to sit down after twenty five minutes went to counter to ask how long would it be they had completely forgot so he rushed todo the food now after going round doing other things touching objects he picked up the salad with his bare hands no gloves no utensils now surely ‘this is a health hazard and against all health and safety rules staff don’t no what they are doing cutlery wet and dirty in tray tables need wiping what a shame
Well what can I say..let's start with the fact we waited 5 minutes at a til waiting to order, 4 females runninga around like headless chickens looking at the order screens, no eye contact or even a nod to acknowledge our existence for 5 long minutes, one member of staff asked the people behind us if they had ordered, not us at the front of the queue, the people said no they hadn't ordered so the staff member said that you have to order at the till at the end.. so off we trot and there was a man taking the orders of those that were behind us..anyway the till froze and had to be reset, another 5 minutes of waiting for the people now in front of us to order, once our turn came along we said no milk with the expresso and no slaw in the wrap..what do you think happened next. Yep you guessed it..milk with the coffee and slaw in the wrap..by this time we was little miffed at the dreadful service and took almost 45 minutes between waiting, ordering and receiving our food, never again!
