This is a tranquil spot where you can unwind, take your time, and enjoy some delicious cake. I love it!
The Cis Bakery has been transformed into the Cis Concept Restaurant. They still offer a variety of sweets, but have expanded their menu to include breakfast and lunch options. The owner and staff are knowledgeable and accommodating when it comes to vegan eating, with some of them being vegans themselves. The menu features dishes that can be made vegan, including unique options like an eissalat, which turned out to be a delicious vegan salad with a tasty crumble topping. Perfect for warm weather, I highly recommend it. Be sure to check out their menu for interesting taste combinations like hummus made from black beans. The sunny terrace and newly renovated interior make for a beautiful dining experience, and they are even working on a garden, which will be another great addition.
I am giving this place 4 stars, which is a rating typically reserved for vegan establishments. However, the level of expertise and passion evident in this charming bakery truly deserves an extra star. The owner, who is lovely and speaks fluent English, was enthusiastic to discuss the various baked goods offered with me, showcasing her knowledge and warmth. The bakery specializes in sweet treats and beverages, all of which are vegetarian. Please be aware that most items contain eggs and/or milk, and products with gluten are made separately. The raw desserts, which are entirely vegan, are some of the best I have tasted in months. During my visit, options included a coconut orange cheesecake, chocolate koshkuchen, and date/chocolate balls - I couldn't resist trying them all! Considering the prices I would expect in Australia or the USA, this bakery is quite affordable and definitely worth a visit.
There was nothing vegan on the midday card, but the friendly woman who led the place made me a great salad that contained cut feigen, termine and mandel. there was also a mini-faced beard, cut, with olive oil on the side. it was a great improvised lunch. there was a good selection of tees and a large window table to sit and watch people.
