The Ivanhoe Pub - Vancouver Canada

Perfect. The people were vibing, music was great. Bartender top shelf. Definitely a place you want to be at.

I moved into a room in the Ivanhoe hotel which is above the pub in August of 2022. On one or two nights per week they have live music in the pub and although I don't drink I did occasionally come down to listen. There are some pretty talented people, playing good music to a genuienly well received and well behavied crowd. The staff at the hotel are all helpful and if I ever was in distress or appeared as if I needed help they would check on me immediately with kindness and a good amount of well deserved jabs at my often strange behaviour. I have been going trough a tramatic experience and chose to do it away from where I previously lived for 30 years in a much smaller, quieter location. I have nothing but good things to say about the people running the hotel and pub, and I respect the additional work they have to do because of the toxic drug crisis here. they could have turned their backs on the community and turned it into expensive condo's but there's a dire need for affordable rentals in east vancouver and the good folks a the Evanhoe have given 110% to this here community. Thank you for making me feel welcome and safe!

I'd never been in here before but thought to give it a go. Everyone was really nice; an ecclectic and multicultural community. It's a chilled out venue, no pretences and the staff are friendly welcoming. The interior decor gave me From Dusk Til Dawn vibes in all the best ways. Will deffo be back!

Great place, great service, definitely give it a try if your in the area, ask about the history, place been there for 120 years
