I walked 40mins to reach this place bec I don't have a car. I tried eating here bec of what my co-workers were saying, like how good the food are. I checked the menu and ordered extreme nachos. I forgot to tell them that I only wanted half but the server didn't ask me so she gave the whole one which was good for 2. It came with 2 sour creams and 2 salsa. The nachos looked like it came from a package of Doritos. The toppings were melted cheese, red, green and yellow bell peppers, jalapeños, onions, tomatoes and ground beef. I wished they added more beef. I wasn't able to finish it because it was a big serving but nothing really fancy about it. For my dessert, I went to the counter to order chocolate ice cream on a waffle cone. One scoop is enough for me. I had to go to the counter because nobody from the servers asked me if I still wanted anything else. They just kept on passing by and didn't bother asking me about the food either as oppose to the other customers. The servers asked the other customers about their food and desserts. I wasn't rude when I ordered and there wasn't anytime that I became rude in any restaurants. Maybe they thought I can't converse in English or whatever. Anyway, I find the nachos expensive for 14$ plus tax. For just the two items that I ordered, I ended up paying almost 19$. If I will come back here, I will just order the dessert I guess. They have a big diner by the way. They have a parking lot and their wall was adorned with Coca Cola posters like vintage ones. They have other Coca Cola stuff on display like the bear, big bottle of coke, the straw or napkin dispenser etc.
Awesome Mennonite restaurant :) tasty food all round. Nvr had one bad meal and amazing service to. Was always my fav place to eat with my wife and family as well. Me and my groomsman had lunch the day off the weeding to. Two thumbs up
We started many years ago, partly by accident, going to J&S on our anniversary. My husband gets either a burger platter or and ice cream -and I order "The Ultimate." That consists of wareneki and killed in cream gravy, rukvorsht and rhubarb...yumm. Staff are great, their hanging baskets in the summer are spectacular and I get my annual Mennonite cuisine fix AND it is 5 minutes from our home. Wonderful!
Amazing food and service :) Everytime I go it's great. Me and my wife love to go there for family dinners.
