Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónA really fantastic restaurant, with really good food. They are not the cheapest however it's well worth the quality of food and the overall experience. The service was super fast and the staff were friendly and helpful. The venue has Dutch cellar like setting, so dress up nicely. There is plenty of inside and outside seating. The venue is wheelchair friendly and there is plenty of free parking. Do watch their opening times. Highly recommended value for money eating experience.
Beautiful, sunny outdoor space for our lunch today. So much nature! Dozens of bird species! We even watched a mole pushing up the grass and a squirel hoping about the roofs. Then there is the food quality. Simy excellent. Its been marvelous everyone I've been there without fail. Wonderful place, super friendly people. Don't miss out !!
Thank you Karen and Frankie for your wonderful hospitality. A stunning outdoor garden table setting. A few exotic cats on the side (thankfully fenced off lake and lavish gardens..and beautiful plated food paired with excellent friendly service. Made for a relaxing laid back lunch which stretched on for almost 3 hours. Feeding all the senses : will be back for more!

.... Again as always is the case when visiting one of the wine estates in the Stellenbosch area you are mesmerize by the sheer beauty that meets the eye of how picturesque the surroundings are and the great efforts that are employed in maintaining this! The drive in along side the white picked fencing just hastened the expectation of what we were to experience, as you see just opposite the massive parking areas is a Game Park and we saw some Deer's Springboks! The parking today was already flowing over with parked cars so we knew it's going to be full inside and it was indeed! As we learnt that the Jaguar Car Club was having a function here today, what you see outside is nothing of the kind you see and experience inside, when you enter into the entrance hall there is a love lii lounge area with some settees where you can chill while waiting to be seated. The restaurant name is painted on the wall and there is a large functions hall next door! We were met by Colleen and ushered to our table which was in one of the two big rooms in this manor house type of setting filled with tables and chairs. There was also a bar in the one rooms the decor is kind of old school South African African with old photos on the walls depicting outdoor activities even some dried buck sculls with horns. Probably due to the Game Park housed on this wine estate. The high ceilings were made up of wooden sticks and snazz ii light fittings and there was also lots antique wooden furniture to be seen. We ordered a bottle of Neethlinghoff “Malbec” a wine we enjoy! The Sunday menu is almost a set menu a bit disappointing because we looked at the general menu on line and was real lii looking forward to their Moroccan beef curry served with couscous but the was not to be! We had to get our order in soon and quick lii as we were told by Colleen that the kitchen closes at 16:00 we booked for 14:00 lunch! Now we know for next time to come earlier. Our starters were: 1. Fried calamari which was top notch succulent and taste ii! 2. Garlic snails grilled in the pizza oven which was rather a bit dry’ish probably due to been grilled in the pizza over! 3. Wrapped bacon prunes stuffed with blue cheese now here was something to die for as we have never in all our world travelling escapades come across a starter so unique and insidious lii delicious, will always come back here just for this amazing treat! Our main meals were: The Sunday Special yellow rice with grav ii, two slices each of roasted leg of lamb, pork bellii, hash browns and vegetable’s 2. Oxtail in thick brown grav ii served with mash and veg. The meals were indeed home lii and very enjoyable! Our desserts we ordered were: 1. Italian Kisses on vanilla ice cream and the chocolate centres were of a good quality chocolate and not the wax ii tasting ones you can sometimes be served in some establishments 2. Amarula Casada Mmmmmmm’ish real ice cream with lots of nut and real glazed cherries! We loved and enjoyed our lunch other than been rushed a bit, we didn’t have to wait for our meals more then been served to soon but probably not their fault! After our lunch we had time to wonder around the estate a bit and discovered a few more exciting things! There is another restaurant with a functions hall called “Hudson’s”! A Wine tasting wine sales store, Gift Shop called de Boerderijwenkel selling sweets, biscuit beer, etc, etc! The Cat Park and Animal Farm where the feeding of the animals can be witnessed at the given times even Game Drives that has to be arranged beforehand! Further along is also the Classic Cats Gin tasting bar even with lots of table with umbrellas from where you have a stunning view of picturesque Stellenbosch at large, also old classic Jaguars cars on show. One can even hire a Jaguar car tour right here! We will have to return to the very unique wine estate to further experience more of what is on offer here! An absolute must visit venue which we high lii recommend!..........
