We had christmas eve dinner December 2015. An excellent 5 course dinner with wine. It was offered as part of our stay in Vienna, if you have the opportunity to have the dinner, do it. We also had breakfast buffet each day of our stay. It was very nice with specialty omelets made to your specifications.
This used to be one of my favourite places for fish along with the Ragusa in Vienna's Berggasse. Apparently, when moving the Siecle downstairs, this place has also moved down in terms of food, ambiente, and spirit. Service is still great, mind you, but dishes lack creativity and love. Instead of resuming the focus on fish, an attempt has been made to compete with a run of the mill cuisine, albeit at higher quality and higher pricing - not always successfully. It is unclear why the original concept - catering to a clientele wishing to enjoy fish dishes - has been given up in favour of your "typical restaurant inside a luxuy hotel". With several similar places around, competition is strong and not lagging behind, and the overall experience is more in the "yet another one of those" category. Back to the roots, and this place could be awesome again. That said, moving upstairs again would be a bonus - lobby location is not that inspiring, honestly.
