Nelly Latin - Village of Chester

I haven’t been to this location in a while and saw several new faces behind the counter. I’m not sure, however, it appears as if the restaurant has new owners. I ordered the usual, a large chicken soup. It has been tasty in the past, however, it was exceptionally good today (perhaps due to a new cook). The soup was very tasty, and the broth’s consistency was thick and hearty with a nice amount of chicken. It was absolutely delicious!!! Highly recommend!

2nd time ordering from Nelly. I should've learned from my first experience which wasn't all that bad. This time however, the food was lackluster and beyond. The mofongo was completely tasteless, not even a hint of garlic and barely any pork or chichharon. The pernil was pure salt, loads of grease and green peppers. Diner beware. This is not the place to go if you are looking for authentic Latin food and flavors.

The food taste is very good. But every time I order delivery they are fatal. They send the wrong order, incorrect size, etc.I almost always order the same thing and it always comes in different sizes paying the same price.I order a family order and sometimes they send it family size, other times they send it lunch size. Or they send me large rice, small beans (all broth, literally all broth) and a small order of pork (when I pay more than $30 for a family order. I also pay for delivery, which in the end is almost $45 or so and I always have I had to go to the restaurant because they sent me everything wrong. Once I ordered fried fish and it was all raw inside. The delivery apps have to add a comment to your order. They never read it. The attitude of the girls is always terrible with long faces and with a bad mood. Only one of the girls is very kind and happy (I don't know her name).

All tables dirty, they don't clean when customers leave, they take a long time to ask the customer what they want to

This is my second time ordering from work with my colleagues and it was very unpleasant again. $95 down the drain. The mofongo was in flavorless tomato sauce with green onions and peppers , which I’ve never seen before. That was my meal, I couldn’t even eat it. My co workers all threw their food out. We ordered Cuban Sandwhich, two orders of the chicharron de pollo and the chicken wasn’t fried properly at all. The beans was just broth with a few beans in them. I’m not sure if I’m furious because I’m starving or if it’s just the anger of food being this pleasant. Absolutely disappointing.
