Tell the owner, Alexis I sent you! Don’t go if you’re looking for fancy, but if you are looking for fresh, flavorful and authentic Greek dishes, you are in luck. The setting is that of a diner. The owner, Alexis, is sometimes the maître d’, the waiter, the bartender and the chef, it all depends on the time you are dropping in. He does a terrible job marketing his restaurant; as I found this place randomly by driving by; but he does an amazing job keeping his customers happy. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture of the menu. It was an impressive and well thought out menu, given the size of the restaurant.A few small factors that have big impact the simple ingredients which include handpicked OO, fresh seafood and cut of meats. The downside: only 2 wines Merlot and Pinot Grigio.PS you’re welcome to take your own wine.

Amazing place, owner has great energy, making us laugh and said the Zuppa di Mare was one of his specialities and it showed! My papa says it’s one of the best he’s had and he’s coming back!If you’re looking for an amazing dessert, we specifically asked the name of the delicious white gelatin with fruit on top pastry they gave us, he says it’s Italian panna cotta. ??The village has an amazing new(ish) edition! ??
Was recently in the old hood (not on the best terms unfortunately) and came here for dinner with my wife 2 nights in a row and had excellent meals both times. Given it was a perfect summer's night, we sat outside and Alexis and his wife are fantastic hosts. Alexis seems to deal with most of the cooking and his wife is the dessert guru. Given it was so good, we more or less ordered the same meal twice; horiatiki salad to share, one of their dips to share and then a whole roasted fish (branzino one night, black bass the other) with Greek fries and wine. Everything was fresh and authentic and Alexis perfectly roasted the fish each night and its perfect to split for two. For those that might be scared of dealing with a whole fish; you get a lot more taste out of the fish just ask Alexis or a server the best way to clean it. Trust me, you'll be a convert! Like other reviewers have mentioned, we were ready to go somewhere else for dessert but Alexis' wife convinced us to stay and that was absolutely the right decision since the homemade galaktoboureko and baklava she made were homemade and mouth watering. Good prices, excellent food and service, right in the middle of Whitestone. What are you waiting for?!
