Despite my ability to cook great Korean food at home, I was feeling lazy and craving Korean BBQ. We decided to try Hiroba based on positive reviews, but it was a huge disappointment. The food was gross and overpriced, with small portions that did not justify the cost. The side dishes were terrible, the spicy pork dish was mostly vegetables, and the grill did not heat up properly. The service was bad, with the owner ignoring us and trying to cook our food for us. When we asked for lettuce to wrap our meat, the owner dismissed us rudely. Additionally, the restaurant falsely advertised as offering sushi, but refused service to a couple who asked for it. Overall, Hiroba was a complete joke and not worth the $40 we spent.
