Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónUsed to be one of my favorite spots in Ypsilanti. Today a friend ordered something on the menu listed for $6.75 and but was charged $8.10. they said they have new owners and the prices haven't been updated, and would not honor the written price on the menu. Completely unacceptable!!! Not a great start for new management. *UPDATE* Your response did not address my complaint. You don't charge more than the displayed price on the menu, if it's your mistake you own up to it and take responsibility, you charge the displayed price, thank the customer for bringing the mistake to your attention, and then you promptly fix the menu. You don't just shrug and overcharge the customer. It's fine if you feel you have to raise your prices, but you need to put it on in the menu, you can't bait and switch and then not take responsibility.
Since buying the place earlier in 2023, this coffee shop's new owners have raised prices ~20 30% on items I'd typically buy (but not updated menus), reduced hours, cutting the most convenient ones for me, ripped up the cypress garden I used to sit in turned the staff over Now, maybe there are big plans I'm not privy to that'd turn the place into something that would somehow compensate for these downsides but I worry. Honestly, you're not going to make better coffee than Comet, and if I want uncompromising quality at a price point bordering on the absurd to enjoy in a bougie setting I can go there. Not everyone wants that, though. Be an Ypsi coffee shop in Ypsi (or don't and don't), please and thank you!
This place was so good and affordable, but they have new owners now. They have their old menu with their prices up, but will not honor the prices written. (Example: big breakfast sandwich is written $6.75, but you get charged $8.10. Even when I brought this to their attention, they said they have new owners….? Food is good though! Please
Easily the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to. The best tasting espresso across every city I’ve tried and the most comfortable seating both inside and outside that provide beautiful sunlight and views of the city. You’ll want to curl up with a book and spend all day looking out the window. I can be picky about coffee shops but everything from their creative extensive food and drink options to the aesthetic and atmosphere are all so comforting and peaceful and exactly what you want from a coffee shop <3
Used to be a good spot, guy making my coffee today was being trained and the trainer let him work at a snails pace. Waited 25 minutes for a coffee and a bagel in the morning, and was the only person in the store. Would have let it go but the guy literally poured the entire bottle of sweetener into my coffee and now I’m without a $6 latte and late to work. The old staff were so cool and professional it’s a shame they will be losing my business.
