I must commend the outstanding team at Strandkombuis who manage the entire establishment. The staff is very friendly, well-trained, and eager to assist in any way they can. However, when it comes to the food—the main highlight of the experience—there is still some room for improvement, despite the beautiful setting. They have access to a wealth of lovely ingredients, yet much of the main course was lacking in flavor, missing out on the aromatics, spices, and herbs that could enhance the dishes. A little extra salt and a squeeze of lemon would go a long way in elevating the flavors. I would certainly recommend visiting, but given the prices, the food was somewhat mediocre and did not meet our expectations. That said, this isn’t a reflection on the staff but rather a commentary on our recent dining experience.

The scenery is breathtaking, featuring flamingos in the wetlands, gorgeous dunes, and sea views that created an unforgettable backdrop for our special day. Stacey and her team went above and beyond to ensure everything went flawlessly. They were attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional, making us feel like our happiness was their top priority. Every detail was meticulously handled, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the day. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the venue! The atmosphere was enchanting, and the in-house catering was exceptional—every bite was delicious. The layout facilitated a smooth transition between the ceremony and the reception, making the entire experience seamless. Additionally, there were fantastic accommodations for our guests right next to the reception venue. If you’re searching for a place that blends beauty, elegance, and outstanding service, I wholeheartedly recommend Strandkombuis. It truly was a dream come true, and we are so grateful for the incredible memories we created there. Thank you for making our wedding day truly magical!

Incredible food, wonderful ambiance, excellent music, and lovely people!

This is an ideal spot for a bachelor party, located in a place where you can avoid too much chaos, which is often the case with bachelor festivities! The unit we rented for the weekend was fully stocked with kitchen essentials and comfortable bedding, and it was clear that the units had been meticulously maintained. If you decide to visit, don’t miss the Sunday buffet at noon—the food is truly exceptional! Service: 5

This is a fantastic venue for hosting a party, with friendly staff and decent food—especially the pizza! However, I would rate the rooms with less than one star if I could. Don’t be misled by the basic photos; while some rooms are much larger than ours, we had the most uncomfortable bed in the world and a tiny bathroom. The water pressure was almost nonexistent, even though the water was hot. Additionally, there was a sewer overflow right next to the kitchen, which was fixed quickly but caused a terrible smell. I would definitely consider this place for an event again, but I’d prefer to sleep in my car rather than stay here overnight.
