I ordered the Maki Set B, which comes with a miso salad, eight pieces each of California roll, spicy salmon roll, and dynamite roll. I also added a side of broccoli tempura; one of my personal favourites. The good: the sushi tasted fresh, which is always appreciated. The ingredients seemed good quality, and the broccoli tempura was nicely done, crispy and satisfying without being overly greasy. However, there were a few drawbacks. The rolls crumbled as soon as I picked them up, which made eating them with chopsticks more frustrating than it should be (and I’m pretty skilled with chopsticks). The construction of the rolls could definitely use improvement. Even more concerning: I found a fish bone in the spicy salmon roll. It was a minor one, but still something to be cautious about. Overall, Sushi Style has potential, especially if you're nearby and craving sushi. But between the delicate assembly and the fish bone surprise, I’d say it’s a mixed experience, decent, but not without its flaws.
