You could tell they took pride in their food and honestly cared about the customers that came in. I didn't catch the waiters name, but he was very honest and nice as well. If the food alone isn't enough (which it certainly is) the people are. Wonderful place. I'm so glad we went there today! We will be back for sure! Side note: They have vegetarian options people! It's hard to find a place with good food like this, and vegetarian food to boot!

The... leer más We stayed at the Castle Rock Country Inn and had dinner at the restaurant Avalon within the restaurant. The food and views from the dining room were great. The Seafood chowder was superb and the beef tenderloin was really nice I was happy to learn that the beef is free range and locally sourced from the main land. My husband enjoyed the smoked salmon appetizer and the seafood tasting with a really good portion size and not overcooked! The dining room was busy and my only complaint was the service was a bit slow.

We both had the eggs,meat, toast and hash brown option for breakfast. It was tasty, my over easy eggs were cooked perfectly and best of all, the ham was real ham off a ham not that pressed crap. The server who took our order was super friendly and efficient. Oh yeah, we had one of the best gigantic mugs of coffee I’ve ever had from an eat out establishment. We were there three days before they closed for the season but the attitude was like they were just starting out. I would definitely go there again if I’m on the Cabot Trail!!!!

Cheesecake was okay but a bit too hard to be worth recommending.
