Had not been there in about 10 years and had always enjoyed the food there. Lots of free parking, big area inside with tables nicely spaced. Looked as there were quite a few regulars. The huge light fixture at the bar is worth seeing. We were there in the afternoon, so not too busy. Nice background music, a few TV screens but no noise. Large selection of beer on tap. I had the Reuben on toasted marble rye with lots of meat, sauerkraut and cheese. A very good spicy grainy mustard and a pickle on the side. The French fries were crispy, not like the soggy or under cooked ones you find at other establishments. My wife had the mussels in a tomato, garlic onion sauce finished with feta. Good dish. The waitress noticed she was wearing white pants, so she brought over an additional cloth to avoid any mishaps of red tomato sauce on white pants. This was very appreciated. A couple of beers were a good choice for the meal. Service was friendly, efficient and attentive. There was no push to drink and drink more. According to my wife bathrooms were clean and OK. Easily accessible from Southland and Anderson, just off McLeod.
