I (along with a small group of ladies) attended the Downton Abbey Tea and Trivia night at the Tea Room. It was a set menu so I was already nervous and prepared to go home hungry. In the days leading up to the event, I called several times to remind them of my gluten allergy (Celiac disease) and shellfish/fish allergy. They assured me they would take care of me. Once there, I again mentioned it to our hostess and waitress. As I do wherever I go, I asked for the chef to come to the table. Less than 5 minutes later, the main chef (Tim) came to the table, asked all about my allergies, and went back to the kitchen to prepare a plate just for me. Even though I didn’t get to try the dinner they had prepared for the set menu, they served me a beautiful and delicious dinner plate and dessert all gluten free and safe for my allergies. It was a WONDERFUL experience and I highly recommended The English Tea Room!!!

I ordered the chicken gyro and the chicken was so delicious!! It was filled with fresh veg and just the right amount of feta and yogurt.
