You may not believe this , but we followed a billboard advertisement for this restaurant from the highway. We pulled into the parking lot not really sure what to expect, but that is part of the fun of a road trip. We were pleasantly surprised tofind a friendly, decent Mexican food place on the road that is more like a mom and pop restaurant and not a franchise. It wasnice to feel the AC on a very hot day. My son really enjoyed his margarita to help to cool down just from the walk from the car. A point to note, there are two larges bigger than this one on the menu. The food was pretty good, and we truly enjoyed our timehere. The staff was friendly and courteous. They answers all of our questions. We had so many questions due to the very, verylarge menu selections. I would suggest that there are too many options on the menu. I would reduce the menu down to a smallernumber of options as it just creates confusion and longer decision times. If you find yourself on the road or a local to thearea, please stop by here. From my personal perspective, I hope the road trips do not die because of high gas prices or theonset of electric vehicles. Our road trip was truly enjoyable and to visit these types of places makes it even better.

I found on a Friday night that I could book a table within 45-minutes of the time that Iwanted here at at Bonefish Grill. I have never been there before, and I was looking forward to a nice time out with my son. Iordered an appetizer of Potstickers/Dumplings with our drinks. Our first drinks were pretty good, but the appetizer was saltyand mushy. It seems to me as if they were over cooked. My son ordered a Steak with Crab Cakes and I ordered a wood fire chickendinner with upgraded, by $5, dinner salad. The dinner salad was small for a $5 upcharge. I should have just ordered the standardside. The steak looked good but the crab cake was very, very small like bite sized. We ordered a second round of drinks and Ihad to send mine back. It took almost 20-minutes to get the drinks then mine was one that I could not even swallow was it wasvery, very bad. My son tried it and he spit it out. So, our overall experience was small food portions with a large price. Thedrinks were 50-50 for me one good, one bad.
