The turnip was lumpy and hadn't been seasoned. The larger parsnips were hard, and so were the carrots. Even the sage and onion stuffing was hard. I did inform a member of staff. There's not much choice of veg. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Tables, furniture and floor so old and dirty the cleaner must think they can't be bothered to clean them....Grotty. from thr outside it looks closed, even a takeaway delivery driver said it looked closed when he gave the barman his dinner. It must be bad when the bar staff prefer takeaways rather than cooking in the pub kitchen. I complained to Marstons as I am sure no one from head office has visited this pub for years. I'm not from the area but if this pub was near my house it would have been closed and renovated years ago
