We were seated in the dining room instead. And not only that, we were seated at the worst table in the dining room in my opinion. Set in a corner, my view of the restaurant was the corner of two walls 2 feet behind my girlfriend. When the restaurant is 90% empty at 11:45am why is that table one of the first to be seated? The old fashioned lard biscuits were unexpectedly dense. Doesn't make them bad, just not what we thought they would be. The bacon butter was fantastic. The eggs benedict with shaved pork was disappointing. The pork was tasteless. The hollandaise was too sweet. The poached eggs were perfect. I would not order that again. My girlfriend's fried chicken was delicious. Beautifully crispy and moist. Great honey mustard. Next time I would insist on my preferred seating. I know not to order the biscuits and that version of eggs benedict again. Disappointing visit to an otherwise excellent restaurant.
