We ate a la carte on the first night and had the arctic chard and foie gras for starters and the Bresse chicken for mains. All of the dishes were beautifully presented, using some fresh ingredients from their garden and were cooked perfectly. I had a sublime myrtille dessert and my husband had the fabulous poached figs. The next night we opted for the 'discovery ' menu, where we ate 'blind ' and had a refreshing selection of tomatoes prepared in different ways, stuffed trout with a shallot coating, duckling with gnocchi and a fantastic dessert made from peaches with an olive oil sorbet. All of the dishes were inventive, using high quality ingredients and were cooked with care...most importantly they tasted superb. We had great local wines with each meal. The food isn 't cheap but it was good value for such high quality. cooking.

The tasty Foie Gras was followed by a perfectly cooked Veal Chop and joined by...a very special 1/2 bottle of wine. Sebastian not only cooked but served the meal with great charm and pleasure. It makes a real difference to to experience the personal touches that he always provides the guests.

Asked the waitress if I could swap it for something else but she said the sandwich was made that day and perfectly fine'. I probably wouldn't have wrote this review if they just swapped it for something else. The sandwich was crap and being patronised with terms of endearment is not how to handle the situation!
