Starting with the interior: Cozy colors, lots of stylish wood finishing, a golden wall you have to see it) and the appetite-fueling glow of the excellent liquor selecting on the wall behind the bar. Speaking of drinks: that is why you come here! Great selection of extra-ordinary spirits: Gin, Rum, Whiskey, ... you name it! But also wine lovers or hunters of the perfect Bavarian Beer “Augustiner” from Munich) will be delighted. But a nice place and many bottles do not make a great bar… it’s the people, both working and guests. Starting with the people behind the bar: It’s the owner and his wife, which make you feel like they just extended their living room to fit all their friends and treat everyone with the beautiful content of the described bottles, accompanied by premium mixers or perfectly crafted cocktails. Speaking about the cocktails, here is real innovation at work: for example most of us will have had a chance the taste a Moscow/Vodka or Munich/Gin) Mule – but here they get served with a fresh homemade foam of cucumber&ginger, that really complements the spicy Ginger Beer from Thomas Henry). Make sure you get some of the again homemade) breadchips&dips, spicy cashew nuts or even a hot dog on weekends). Speaking about guests, I find the mix nicely balanced from all perspectives: You will find the young and beautiful, serious drinkers discussing the newest bottle added to the shelf, tattooed folks and designer dresses – everyone enjoying the atmosphere. It is possible to reserve a spot at the bar or even for a larger group to celebrate which seems to happen quite frequently) – which I would recommend because it can get pretty crowded, even more after Bruckmanns has been named one of Munich Top-5 Bars MUNICH NIGHTLIFE AWARDS 2015).
