First off,... leer más I am always happy for a dive bar to be open late (until 2:00), and have a fully vegan menu. And, it is absolutely a dive bar, which we like at times. First off, the D.J. was absolutely fantastic. Having come from the Piston nearby and the deplorable 'Juicebox ' monthly party, it was a blessing to hear such great early 80s and 90s tunes thoughtfully programmed. We only had time for poutine and deep fried oreos. The Chili Cheese poutine had all the requisite ingredients, but just wasn 't very tasty. The fries were not salted enough, and the chili bland. It needs some tweaking. But the world was redeemed by the deep-fried oreos. As a 31-year vegan, I just haven 't had many of these deep-fried concoctions. Sure we had been drinking: But, my goodness, those things are amazing. Five battered oreos drizzled with chocolate syrup with a side of whip. Holy heck!!! What an invention. We will definitely go back to try some of the entrees...and get more of those oreos.

Well … my first impression of the “Rooster” was disappointing, which is sad as I had such high hopes when I walked in. It was super busy, which is usually a good omen. There is nothing that wrecks my breakfast more than when I order my eggs “over easy” and I cut into them to discover super well done. Rubbery . I mean over easy eggs are pretty standard fare for a place that advertises All Day Breakfast, right? My corn beef hash and potatoes had zero seasoning … bland. To quote Ramsey “Did you season this you donkey?” Arghhh … the service however was excellent, so the waitresses can’t be faulted. This breakfast joint poses no competition to places like the White Apron or the Rainbow in Oshawa.

As a rule, if avocado is included in a dish, there is hardly any there. But not here, get a pretty good piece Chuck Burger is very nice and the bungalow is fuffy. The frits that come on the page are good and also other comments: Very nice restaurant Your milk, products and meat are certified organic and local. Your prices are very low for such good quality and healthy foods Their packaging is environmentally friendly and their business is made with recovered materials. When we arrived a large group of snowmobilers had just arrived for lunch as well. We were seated quickly but the order for lunch was a little delayed as...so many people arrived at the same time. No worries about the delay as you can help yourself to coffee at their coffee bar. This was welcome as it was an extremely cold day and we needed the java to warm us up. There are lots of options for lunch. The chile is excellent and the tea biscuit that comes with it was fantastic. My daughter had the quesadilla and it was excellent as well. Next time we are in Dwight at lunch time we will certainly drop by to give this place another try.
