None attentive server. Took 30 minutes to get water and a menu after being seated and I had to ask for that! The Caesar salad was over dressed, soggy and too garlicky. The veal bolognese and pasta dish was the best. Flavorful and balanced. The key lime pie tasted as though it had been room temperature too long. It was foamy and not creamy and the meringue slid off the top. The crust was the best thing about that pie. Overall it was just ok and I would not rush to go there over other places. Past it’s prime. I’ll hold on to my memories when it was better.

We live in Rancho Bernardo and we're looking for a close by restaurant for the middle of week San Diego Restaurant Week special and were very pleased with the service and food. This restaurant has been recently renovated as has the hotel. It was very quiet with mainly hotel guest but I believe that it can become a jewel if the word gets out. The general manager stopped by for quick chat and mentioned the improvements that were taking place. I would recommend this place to all who would listen. By the way, the lobster bisque was excellent, actually had chucks of lobster in it. We will go back another time and try their regular menu.
