Perhaps because it is a bit off the beaten path it is not as crowded as it could or should be for the quality of food and the charming setting. It definitely has a rustic feel with lots of dark wood to set off the spotless white table linens. Service is very good and the menu is seasonal with lots of fresh produce. The wine list is decent although a bit pricey by the bottle. Beer is a feature and there is a lovely beer garden in which to sit and enjoy a leisurely drink and chat with friends. The outdoor area is child and family friendly by way of a designated play area. There is a large room for receptions and large parties as well as a smaller, more intimate area for romantic date nights. The current menu will change or at least add a special Asparagus offering some time in April and the chef is very skilled. A particular favorite this visit was a curry foam soup and the salad with perfectly cooked lamb.
We enjoyed an excellent Christmas menu and just everyone was thrilled! Thanks for that!
Following the Chef's proposals, we selected a 3-course menu for 15 guests. Nothing to say, everything was delicious, the wine also excellent. Despite a grey and rainy autumn day, the atmosphere was relaxed in a warm setting with the comforting smell of wood fire. Nice and professional staff. The restaurant menu invites gourmet taste buds to come back to discover more. We strongly advise this place
We ate great, the meat was very good. The map is really minimalist I find but good I found what I wanted. There are no dessert ice creams. We were alone in the restaurant so it was a bit weird atmosphere ... the big plus is the big chimney in the main room with our meat that cooks slowly on a good wood fire.
Very nice setting and terrace, just like the waiter. The dishes are very well prepared, I will certainly come back!
