El San Luis - Athens

Excellent service, beautiful restaurant both inside and out, and great food. I ordered a barbacoa torta (7.5/10) and tacos al pastor (8.5/10). The decor is great overall, especially the portraits of famous Mexican entertainers. Could use less ceramic fruit and lizards on the blue walls. Overall experience 9/10, I highly recommend!

Quiet little eatery. I really want to like the food. The queso is delicious! But I really needed that queso to be able to eat the rest of my food. I was excited about the house made tamales but the masa was dry (crumbly) and lacked flavor. The beef enchilada was a corn tortilla with a bit of ground beef and that’s it. I opted for a side of queso rather than the chili sauce and I’m glad I did. My meal companion had the chili sauce and rated it a 2 out of 5. Her margarita however she rated as a 4.

Great place. Handled our group of 15 with ease. I ate so fast I forgot to share a picture.

Waitress kept disappearing causing ridiculously long waits for refills, never checked on us I had to hunt her down to get our ticket to go boxes.

Have breakfast here every time we visit Athens. Everything was great. We like salsa, the staff and all the food. We have to try for another meal!
