I ordered a macchiato, after confirming that it’s a traditional Italian style macchiato. It was pretty nice. The espresso was well balanced, and had a beautiful little milk foam heart on top. My second drink was a cappuccino. I can’t say the espresso is the best espresso. I’d say something like second tier top shelf. The aura of this place is roomy and chill. The staff were friendly but professional. Got to the point without much extra banter, but in a refreshing way. The space is great. Outdoor seating on at least two sides of the building, and two large spaces for working inside. This whole area of Austin here on the street feels somehow artsy meets privilege meets progressive meets poverty. It’s a very welcoming vibe. A record shop and vintage shop share the rundown shopping center, and all along this road is more of the same. The clientele here was so diverse. I saw the biker (cyclist and motorcycle both) the student, the homeless (based solely on superficial observations)the artist, the business professional, the “soccer mom”, and the remote worker. The vibe of the place and a good cup of coffee makes this is a fun place to stop.
We must try to wake up believing everyday is epic…I needed some help with that this morning so I looked for Epic Coffee. Eureka! What a cool little divey cozy coffee shop. The service was excellent and quite Epoch as I was greeted with a smile. We all need that in the morning. The cafes style fit the “grunge/artsy” feel that most outsiders believe to be Austin. The coffee was wonderful. Hot. Had great body and went down smoothly. Similar to what you’d look for in a mate. The pricing is right where you’d expect unlike going to the grocery store and having to open your banking app in the checkout line. I’d recommend grabbing a few unique tacos to go with your Joe and make the most of your experience…no wait…make your experience Epoch.
Been going here since about 2013. The staff have always been amazing and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming in a very Austin sort of way. You can get breakfast tacos, kombucha, sandwiches, brownies, muffins, and some strange drink called coffee. I 'm not sure what that 's about. Sounds suspicious. The layout is perfect, with places to sit outside that are both covered and open air. Oh and the chalk graffiti bathrooms are something really special. Take a minute in there and join the crazy conversation.
24hrs coffee shops are essential part of urban life and a clear line between towns and cities (per me). Plenty sitting area, communal style, outside. Inside there is a chance to have your “own” space, if you are lucky. I appreciate the option of savory pastry. Not all of us out-there running on a “sugar rush”. As it usually goes, such place is a magnet for all the misfits great ppl watching spot.
Such an amazing coffee spot; the baristas are super kind and have such a cool vibe. The ambiance is
