Excellent lobster! Casual restaurant with great, friendly service and excellent food. Had lobster and dessert (homemade). No reservations and the wait was 30 mins, but took a walk and waited outside so it was not a big deal.
We called ahead to check for gluten-free options and they did have lots. Our server brought gluten-free mini biscuits that were warm and tasty! We each had a lobster meal with three sides. Plenty of food too. What a great stop and memorable dining experience!
Roadside signs say restaurant opens at 4pm but no closing time is specified When we arrived the sign on the door said OPEN We went in but were refused service after the waitress checked with the the kitchen staff who declared the kitchen closed at 8pm My phone clock said it was 8:01 so we entered on or before 8pm So much for Canadian hospitality
For all the hype that this place gets, we were totally unimpressed. Between the staff running around like lost sheep, and the noise from the kitchen and the staff screaming to each other, it was a terrible atmosphere. The food was subpar and with a bill totalling well over $600.00 we expected much better. We all had the all you can eat lobster and since one of our party doesn't like fish, we knew they had a steak on the menu so he had the steak. OMG I don't think it was steak. It was advertised as strip loin but it was more like they took the tongue off a work boot and tried to serve it as a steak. It was not only cooked like shoe leather but it was tiny, a little bit of meat but mostly gristle. The lobster came to us cold, they only gave us 1 bucket of the muscles and it's supposed to be all you can eat, I think we all got 4 muscles each. We asked for 2 more buckets and the server said the lobster is ready to come out. We tried to explain that we can eat lobster and muscles at the same time but she just brought the cold lobster. Honestly...The only thing we liked about this place was the oatcake cookies. Stay away from this place. Go to McDonalds for their lobster roll or McFish. It is better tasting than this place is.
